Lighthouse
from Goteborg city center.
All Gothenburger
are familiar with Vinga,
but how many have actually been there. And you who do not know about Vinga it is an island with a lighthouse
in the Gothenburg archipelago, about 10 miles from the center.
Historically, there are traces of life since 4000 years ago but it is probably best known a bit closer in time. Our own troubadour Evert Taube (1890-1976) grew up here. His father, Carl Gunnar Taube was the Lighthouse master of Vinga during the years 1889-1905.
3 hour ride
During 3 hours you´ll get a speedy ride to the Goteborg archipelago. If any of the major Stena Line ferries are out, it is very possible that you will cross the waves after these gigantic ships and then it will feel just like a rollercoaster ride. The tour also includes a stop at Vinga with time to walk around. Ideal for bringing something to eat and drink.
